Chemistry Assistant Professor of the Practice, Non-tenure Track

Position Description

The Department of Chemistry at Boston College invites applications for a non-tenure trackÌýAssistant Professor of the PracticeÌýteaching position to start in September 2025. The successful candidate is expected to be able to teach introductory level chemistry courses as well as higher level courses in their area of expertise, if the opportunity arises. Assignments may include General Chemistry, courses for non-science majors and/or upper-level electives for students who major in chemistry or related disciplines. Responsibilities may also include development and oversight of laboratory courses

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in chemistry or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective teacher.
  • Demonstrated commitment to increasing diversity in science.
